Architect, model and specify component and RF front-end multi-mode chipset solutions to meet market requirements, while providing component and channel partner consulting. Work directly with PL Marketing and customers to aggressively define and develop system solutions that are best-in-class in four critical dimensions: performance, size, power consumption, and cost. Architectures defined will need to represent the best compromise between technical risk and time-to-market. Additionally, work closely with DE to fully understand IC/module level trade-offs and with AE on PCB level trade-offs.
- Analyzes/simulates radio system performance using CAD/CAE tools, such as, ADS and Matlab. Chairs system level design reviews to review system design and simulation and analysis results.
- Has complete responsibility for overall system performance with special emphases on determining the appropriate critical IC/module and PCB level specifications necessary to meet system performance requirements.
- Attends IC level design reviews as a reviewer/approver. Keeps abreast of state-of -the-art by attending conferences and trade-shows
- Reviews reference design level and component level test results and methods to ensure standards compliance. Provides some system consulting to multitude of internal disciplines: design, applications, test, quality, marketing. Provides customer and channel partner support via RFI/RFQ, modeling support and customer visits.
