Since founding ATS, Adam Cowan has become one of the most prolific and successful executive recruiters in Defense Electronics, Wireless, and RF / Microwave technology. One of Adam’s key roles is strategic business development; driving ATS’ expertise in numerous market segments, where our recruiting expertise can benefit clients and candidates in that space.
After graduating from New York Law School with a law degree in 1987, Adam focused on building up the firm to its current group of 15 recruiters, while maintaining the same quality standards that have made him successful. Adam’s expertise is placement in the Cellular, Wireless Data, Defense and Security markets. He has successfully placed CEOs and senior management, as well as sales, marketing, and design professionals.
Other key accomplishments include:
- Managing Defense Electronics client accounts that have produced 25 to 50 placements each with DRS Corporation, and Cobham (formerly M/A-Com and Remec).
- Managing key client accounts in RF/Wireless that have produced 50-100 placements each with IBM Microelectronics, Skyworks Solutions, and Allen Telecom.
- Placing the CEO and/or technical management teams with several RF/Wireless and photonics startups.
- Managing several large hiring campaigns for wireless infrastructure OEMs (Motorola, Allen Telecom, Lucent, and Nortel) and Service Providers (ATT Wireless, Sprint PCS) for Wireless implementation managers and engineers.
