CMP Process Engineer
Our client is a maker of cutting edge RF filter and resonator technology for mobile devices, wireless infrastructure, IoT, and WiFi applications. They have a current market cap of over $50 million and have a new proprietary technology expected to rival its competitors in the industry.
They are currently looking for a CMP Process Engineer who will lead process development and characterization for CMP processes. The ideal candidate will have a BS or higher in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, or Electrical Engineering with 5 years or more of experience in CMP Process. Experience evaluating and regularly dealing with slurries is a must. While our client is not particular on someone from high volume or R&D, we do want someone who has experience or who can adapt to working with a research-based toolset vs. automated equipment. Additionally the candidate needs to have experience with oxide polishing.
Job Description:
The CMP process engineer will be responsible for developing and implementing planarization processes to support MEMS fabrication operations. The individual will provide technical leadership for both CMP and wafer scrub processes.
Responsibilities:
-Lead process development and characterization for CMP processes.
-Evaluate CMP slurries, manage consumables, define tool startup and SPC qualification.
-Document design guidelines to achieve polish requirements while maintaining high yield for downstream processes.
-Apply statistical process control on critical parameters in the area. Document experiment results.
-Technical lead in programs requiring CMP. Manage work load in area and direct technicians.
-Work with team to integrate processes for successful device fabrication.
-Work with technical members to ensure a match of process capability to product requirement.
-Maintain a working knowledge of safety policies and regulations to ensure duties of self and others are performed in a safe manner.
Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials science, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry or related.
-Minimum 2-5 years experience in MEMS or Semiconductor processing.
-Experience with CMP processing and wafer scrubbing processes preferred.
-Experience with metrology supporting CMP process development and sustaining operations.
